chuckMALT SHOVEL BREWERY

Giant Leap have been instrumental in the development of the James Squire brand family of beers. Jane Evans was involved in the initial brand research, concept creation and brand development over ten years ago.

What started out as a great idea about Australia’s first brewer, James Squire, has now developed into a family of flavoursome beers with annual volumes and sales approaching four million litres and ten million dollars respectively. Jane has been our brand champion throughout, guiding us brewers, protecting the brand and being creative, frugal and expedient all along. Now that is what everyone should expect from their ideal creative marketing company!

I perceive Giant Leap as a lovely family environment where all are welcome to come in, relax and discuss exciting ideas and opportunities for the future.

Giant leap also has a huge strength in the fact that we are able to meet and work closely with the principal and creative genius Jane. Who is always available to not only help move creative projects forward but also to use as a brand guardian to protect our brands. Someone who you can bounce around small ideas and any what may seem trivial concerns you have, about your brand or anything you are working on.

This creative has a strong backbone of David and Lynda who can unbelievably visualise and bring to life these ideas and concepts in a very short time. David and Lynda are both readily available by phone and can accommodate any number of small yet important requests in a timely manner if asked.

I also enjoy the fact that artwork isn’t hidden till it is finished. I can see and discuss WIP which I think is great for both parties. All in all Giant Leap is a great company to deal withÉ although small in size, it is big on quality, creative genius and personalised service.

LION NATHAN

I have found the experience very good. Easy to get along with all the team and not too precious about the art/ideas. What I really like is that the project becomes a working document between the creative and the client – this works well for me as you can challenge one another without anyone getting upset. We tend to do things by gut and instinct as well as with knowledge and facts – so it’s good and makes for an easy relationship.

The power and consistency of the REVLON brand image relies upon a culture of excellence which extends to its strategic partners. Residing in the Giant Leap group is a culture that knows high standards and an impressive understanding of the consumer which has helped the corporation maintain its competitive edge.

XONE

When we first went to GL, we were a start up wireless ISP (a WISP both figuratively and literally) with the working title “bear networks”, struggling to define ourselves and our market even to ourselves let alone our target market. Jane spent a lot of time understanding what we did (which we weren’t very good at articulating at that stage) and who our target markets were. Her brief was to appeal to the new Gen X net citizens as well as being safe for corporates.

In one flash of creative brilliance and stunning branding she came up with our identity. Not only did it (re)define the category (which was her ambition), it also appealed to both Gen X and corporates (not an easy task). The identity was the emoticon for XONE – ie }{()\(~ set in a typeface that was modern yet conservative and safe.

Within 3 months of the new brand hitting the streets, wireless hotspots changed to being called zones on a global basis. Coincidence? Maybe. But our partners were Cisco, Compaq (HP) and Intel and they were all aware of the brand.

The brand is very highly regarded by everyone in the industry who encounters it, including Microsoft and Intel. It is, in my opinion, one of the greatest brands I have ever seen in the post-Internet wireless telecomms industry.

GUIDE DOGS

It is rare that you find a Creative Agency that understands your business. It is even rarer to have a relationship with an agency that is rewarding not only on a creative level, but a practical level too.

Working with Giant Leap over the past year they have never ceased to amaze me with their creativity, imagination, energy and vigour. Giant Leap are an agency that think outside the square, with the Universe as a canvas they certainly are there to challenge us, and present to us concepts and ideas that have made Guide Dogs NSW/ACT a familiar name.

1626

Giant Leap is a brilliant agency. On 1626 the big girls needed a big idea. You couldn’t hold back the passion and exhilaration Jane and the team generated on this brief. They cracked it.
