Wow what am amazing story! … I live near Newtown and love the Eliza Donnithorne story to death, I couldn’t stop reading your novel!!!! what a great story and characters. Has it been turned into a movie already?? I searched on line to see if it’s out on video but couldn’t find it.

Is this based on a novel or short?. Is the script going to be made into a movie anyime or is it just a concept?.
Someone alerted me to this site, and I know the Donnithorne story. I had not heard of the novel or film but I do not agree Eliza is Miss Havisham. There are many other contenders, mostly English but also a French woman. While there are numerous connections with Australia in the Donnithorne story, and their residency in Newtown, it is a good story but the Miss Havisham story is not proved. Sadly too many books these days on Australian history are just faction.
